The Dickies brand is currently best known for its stylish and modern clothing. It was established as a company that produced quality work wear. Dickies was founded by two partners, C.N. Williamson and E.E. Dickies in 1918 in Bryan, Texas.
After World War II, the company increased its production and began producing military clothing. The 1950s marked the beginning of the brand's presence on the European market.
Since about 1990, Dickies has become a popular brand among American youth. Robust design and functionality clothing was first popularized by the skateboarding subculture, and DICKIES gradually became a cult fashion brand. This unexpected, but of course welcome trend, later spread to Europe, where the popularity of the brand among young people continues to this day.
